Very americanized “Indonesian” south east asian cuisine! Started off with corn fritters, prawns and pork fried rice, butternut squash dumplings with red curry lemon sauce, bok choy w. garlic ( my favorite) and lamb sirloin + beef flat iron.

Peruvian restaurant that i can’t get enough of. The lomo Saltado has tenderloin strips with onion, tomato, and french fries. I’ve tried other’s but this is def. one of my favorites. The salmon with squid ink rice, rocoto aioli, and dill chimichurri is really good as well. Kind of pricy with prices starting at 18 dollars and up, but...

James Beach

Rode our bikes in Venice for a pre-dinner snack and came across James Beach from the movie I Love You Man, with Jason Segal. Thought it was overpriced for some fish tacos, but at least the fish was fresh. The taste was very delicate which is something i don’t normally look for in fish tacos, and it could have used more flavor....

Have you ever had a vegan red velvet cupcake?
Alcove in Los Angeles does and it was delicious! The texture was perfect. Don’t know if they’d have it again though.. they seem to change their dessert menu often. i guess that makes this cupcake bittersweet.

For vegans!! Love their earth bowls with grilled veggies and Quinoa, & their scorpian burger. Try their watermelon juice sweetened with agave. The earth bowls are full of spices and flavor and i’m super excited that they opened one up nearby. Casual cafe for healthy, good food.

It’s breakfast, sort of, and there’s nothing more that I want right this moment then a banana almond nut donut from Balthazar, with a hot cup of milk + honey. My cousins Silvia and Shirley brought me here while visiting NY, think their French vintage designs are charming. Perhaps Kells, you can bring me back one? or a box?

Zachary’s is this Chicago style pizza joint owned by its workers.
